The Taekwon-Do Club Braslovče was officially established on the 9th of September 1998 in Braslovče, although it originates from October 1997, when a section of the Scorpion Club from Ljubljana started to operate in Šentilj by Velenje. The youth from Šentilj and its surroundings, together with their coach Simon Jan, then established a new club in Braslovče.

The beginning was hard, as they usually are, but strong will and hard work soon led to exceptional results, which were the best publicity for the club. In 1999 the club blossomed, as its coah, together with Slovenian national team, achieved one of the greatest success in fighting skills in Slovenia. The second place for Slovenian national team in the World Championship in Argentina inspired the members of the club and attracted new, especially young members.
The results kept getting better and better, and the number of members grew from one month to another. The hard work resulted in two more national team members - Roman Pungartnik and Mitja Potočnik. Roman Pungartnik also established a club section in Šentilj by Velenje

Since 2000 the majority of the club's members are the youngsters, who soon started to compete and achieve good results. Reach experience and the wish to pass the knowledge onto the youngsters are the keynote when working with them. The trainings, devided in several age- and quality categories, are also appropriate for recreationals who wish to do something good and healthy for their bodies. The good work went on through the years and the club became one of the most successful ones in Slovenia. Today the club has around 70 members, but since its establishement in 1998 there were more than 300, and it can rightfully be said that teir numerous success, both home and abroad, left an important trace in Slovenian Taekwon-Do.
