4th SUN OPEN 2007 On Sunday 11.03.2007 was in Polzela an international
championship in Taekwon-Do, 4 th SUN OPEN 2007.
The championship was for youth, junior and senior
categories. In the championship took part 213
competitors from five countries: Croatia, Serbia,
Scotland, Poland and Slovenia. We were very happy
that competitors came from other countries because
they have made the competition more fun and they
have also very improved the quality of competition.
A special surprise was made by our special guests
– student Claire Crosbie IV from MASTER HUTCHISON'S
TKD Academy from Scotland and KLUB SPORTOW WALKI
AVASATARE from Poland. Also very special guest
from Croatia, MASTER Toni Nobilo VIII degree
came to see our Championship. The competition
was open with help of Mayors from City Polzela
Mr. Ljubo Žnidar and City Braslovče Mr. Marko
Balant. Also President of Slovenian ITF Federation
for traditional Taekwon-Do Mr. Borut Soklič came
and looks the competition for a few hours. We
are very proud to have these delegations on our
Championship. |

It has been an interesting competition. The fights in junior and senior categories were made in league system, which has prepared some interesting fights between some of the best European competitors. The special awards were given for the best individuals and also special and money awards for the best three clubs. The main referee of the competition was again Mr. Emin Duraković VI DAN who has carried through the technical part of competition without any problems. The competition was finished with special competition SAFE TT, demonstration in team pattern from Slovenian female and male team, demonstration of high pattern with Mss. Claire Crosbie IV DAN from Scotland and Peter Landeker IV DAN from Slovenia, and female team sparring between Croatia and Slovenia. All participants receive special trophies for participating. We finished with competition until 19.00 hours. |
